Abstract Submission Guidelines

Types of Presentations

All authors should be prepared to present an oral, moderated poster or poster presentation. As much as the program will allow we will feature oral and moderated poster sessions. If an author would like to be excluded from an oral presentation please indicate that with submission of the abstract.

Abstract Receipt Confirmation

Upon successful submission, the corresponding author will receive an automated acknowledgment by email. Lack of acknowledgment will indicate that the abstract was not received. Please do not hesitate to directly contact Ms. Kristen Ginn at kginn@shc.arizona.edu or via phone at 520 626-8543.

Abstract Submission Deadline

All abstracts should be submitted by July 10, 2017.  As need be, under special circumstances this deadline may be extended an additional week or so.  For extenuating circumstances please contact Ms. Ginn above or Dr Marvin Slepian – Program Chair at chairman.syns@gmail.com

Notification of Acceptance

Submitting authors will be notified of acceptance of their abstract no later than four weeks prior to the conference. In all likelihood authors will be notified much before that date.

Withdrawal of Abstracts

Submitted abstracts cannot be withdrawn without valid reasons approved by the scientific committee.  If extenuating circumstances occur it is suggested that a substitute presenter or means of presenting the poster be utilized.

Originality of Abstracts

Submitted abstracts must describe unpublished work

Publication

Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted. Any abstract considered unsuitable for reproduction will not be published.  In cases of abstracts with extremely poor English, the abstract selection committee reserves the right to modify the submitted text. The abstracts of election committee however will make every effort in these circumstances not to alter the meaning of the text will contact the submitting authors prior to publication.

All abstracts accepted for presentation (either oral or poster) will be published only if payment of registration has been made.

  • All abstracts must be submitted via the website. Abstracts sent via poster email will not be accepted.

  • ALL ABSTRACTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED IN MS WORD. THE FOLLOWING FORMAT SHOULD BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED FOR SUBMISSION:
